She has nearly 40 years of experience in education across the UK and internationally, beginning her career in EFL before qualifying through the University of Leeds as a primary teacher.
Her work has focused on inclusive and supportive learning environments, with more recent experience as a qualified SENCO supporting pupils with special educational needs.
She is currently helping develop an Enhanced Provision Unit for autistic children within a mainstream primary school, supporting high-quality, nurturing, and responsive provision.

Jim Dunning is currently a SENDCO at a medium sized inner city secondary school in Nottingham. He has worked in the education sector for nearly thirty years. In that time he has worked as a SENDCO for nearly twenty years in four different medium and large schools and worked both in the UK and abroad as a TEFL teacher. Jim has also worked with Universities on English for Academic Purposes courses.
Jim has a Masters degree in Special needs education, along with the NASENCO Award and a PGCE with QTS. He has worked as a teacher, Head of department and in senior management. Previously Jim has also written qualifications for Edexcel and NCFE in the vocational sector. Whilst collaborating with these exam boards he has also gained many years experience examining and moderating.
Jim is an avid reader and keeps up to date with current teaching practices following educators such as Lemov, Caviogoli and D Williams.
